Community Health Work Overview
Our community health workers the backbone of our communities. They support families and individuals to access to various services and offer interpretation and translation services, provide culturally appropriate health education. They work on identifying health needs, facilitate access to healthcare and social services, and provide education on healthy behaviors and preventive health measures.
Community health workers are responsible for building relationships with individuals and families in the community. They also build individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, social support and advocacy.
